چکیده

Objective: Anticancer activities of Schiff bases S1 and S2 against MG-63 human osteosarcoma cells were performed described using an in vitro evaluation employing cytotoxicity apoptosis assay. Methods: used MTT assay to examine the effect compound on cell viability (S1 S2). Cell morphologies IC50 values obtained. The acridine orange (AO)/ethidium bromide (EB) dual staining technique was determine process. Results: Our findings showed that synthesised reduced proliferation induced a dose-dependent manner, implying they could be treat bone cancer. Conclusion:

Evaluation of cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of simvastatin in Bone Cancer Cell line (MG-63)

Background & aim: Cancer is a disharmony amongst cell growth and death which results in accumulation of cells. Bone cancer is an absolutely dangerous type of cancer and occurs when the bone-making cells are disrupted. Despite some reports on the anticancer effects of simvastatin, the activity of simvastatin on bone cancer cells has not been reported. The aim of this study was to evaluate the cy...

A comparison between cytotoxicity induced by two resin based sealers (2Seal and AH Plus) in Saos-2 and MG-63 cell lines

The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the cytotoxicity induced by two resin-based sealers, 2Seal and AH Plus, in two osteoblast-like cell lines, MG-63 and Saos-2. Using sterile discs of both sealers in complete media, 24- and 72-h extracts were prepared. The extracts were exchanged with Saos-2 or MG-63 cell culture media at 75% confluence, and after 24 h incubation, cell viability t...

Synthesis, and In-vitro Cytotoxicity Studies of a Series of Triazene Derivatives on Human Cancer Cell Lines

Compounds containing triazene ring structure are cytotoxic agents and clinically used as antitumor alkylating agents. In this study, a series of triazene derivatives holding alkyl and aryl moieties were synthesized and proved to be potent cytotoxic agents in-vitro particularly against eight cancer cell lines (PC3, HT29, Hela, HL60, Jurkat, K562, MCF7, HepG2) and a non-cancerous cell line (HUVEC...

Characterization of osteosarcoma cell lines MG-63, Saos-2 and U-2 OS in comparison to human osteoblasts.

BACKGROUND Osteosarcomas are malignant bone tumors consisting of cells with abnormal cellular functions. Although osteosarcoma-derived cells are commonly used for osteoblastic models, the molecular composition of the osteosarcoma extracellular matrix (ECM) is not well characterized. MATERIALS AND METHODS We compared three osteosarcoma cell lines (MG-63, Saos-2 and U-2 OS) with normal human os...
